MISSION

The StarkVegas Fútbol Jamboree is a soccer festival designed for members of the Mississippi State University, Starkville, and surrounding communities. MSU’s Department of Kinesiology created this event with the hopes of bringing communities together by playing soccer and supporting students with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Teams across all age divisions are invited to come together with members of the MSU ACCESS program to compete and build relationships. ​

MESSAGE FROM DEPARTMENT CHAIR

Welcome! It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you and thank you for taking part in this year’s Fútbol Jamboree. This event is organized by the students and faculty of the Department of Kinesiology as a community engagement activity. As a department dedicated to the study of movement, we value your willingness to be a part of this year’s event. Through the means of physical activity and sport, we believe that both MSU and its surrounding communities will be enriched and enlightened by mutual personal interactions this event is designed to engender. In the spirit of healthy sport, one of our goals is to encourage the special needs students to be physically active and to remind community residents of the often overlooked rewards they can have by their interactions with these students.
